Patrick “Pat” McFarland grew up on the south side of Chicago and attended University of Illinois as an undergraduate. In 1975 he graduated from Law School at University of Illinois then went into private practice. After five years practicing in downtown Chicago, Pat moved his family to Lake County, Indiana. He has three children living on two continents, and his lovely wife is a tenured teacher.
Attorney McFarland has practiced plaintiffs’ trial work helping injured people almost exclusively for over 35 years and has successfully tried dozens of cases in numerous courts in Indiana and Illinois.
Outside of work Pat is extremely active and is as competitive as he is in the courtroom. He is an avid cyclist regularly participating in events in a three state region; he travels to exotic venues such as Costa Rica in search of the best wind for kite and windsurfing; he sails and wakeboards. In the winter he enjoys ice sailing and cross country skiing. While busy in and out of the courtroom Pat really enjoys the culinary arts and trying to out-cook his talented wife and daughters.
